on something for a client I’m just painting for me. It’s a bit of an addiction.
YOU’VE RECENTLY GONE BACK TO TATTOOING PART TIME AFTER A LONG HIATUS,
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO START AGAIN?
and it became a little too much. I just lived too far away from where I was working at the time.
It’s such a great shop and it’s so close to home! I’m looking forward to what the future hold in regards to
starting tattooing again. My clients are so damn lovely which made it easier to start back tattooing again because
they are so supportive of me and my work. How lucky am I?
WHAT EMPOWERS YOU?
Seeing people be creative, supporting and encouraging each other to do what they love and be successful at it.
IS WORKING FROM HOME/FOR YOURSELF DIFFICULT AT TIMES?
WHAT’S A SPECIAL TALENT YOU HAVE THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE MAY KNOW ABOUT?
I’m a bit of tradie at home. I love renovating and building things.
Other than being a kick ass tradie…I make a mean vego bolognese.
WHO’S SOMEONE THAT DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION?
All the people around the world who volunteer their time to help others and animals in need and don’t ask for
any praise or splash their charity work over social media for attention and likes. They are the people I’d admire
and deserve more recognition. They are much better humans than what I am.
WHAT’S A NORMAL DAY FOR YOU?
It never really feels like work though because I love what I do.
YOU’RE GOING ON A PICNIC, WHAT DO YOU PACK IN YOUR BASKET?
Chips and dips….Always.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU WERE A FULL TIME ARTIST?
I’m lucky enough to have finished graphic design at Swinburne school of design in Prahran and start working as an
artist/graphic designer straight away. I got the first job I applied for I did that for four years before I left to pursue
tattooing which is where my main interest was.
WHAT’S A MOMENT THAT’S TAKEN YOUR BREATH AWAY?
“I can’t believe I’m actually here” was a sweet moment for me. I guess I felt proud I was doing
and seeing something I’d wanted to for so long.
