Hey, I am Atticus Radley.  I am 24 and I am a part time visual story teller and traveler.
I am currently based in Brooklyn, New York where I should be stationed for the next couple years.

YOU TRAVEL A LOT FOR  WORK, DOES THE TIME AWAY STRENGTHEN
OR HINDER YOUR RELATIONSHIP  WITH LOVED ONES?

Time away strengthens some relationships and exposes others.  I’m sure you’ve heard the “phrase out of sight out of mind”.
We’ll for some people me being away from their immediate vision doesn’t seem to matter, we still keep in contact no matter what.
For others that I used to think cared for me as much as I did them, well the phone only seemed to work one way.
It’s the people you keep in touch with mutually that matter most, regardless of space, time etc.

WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU?

Besides all the usual stuff like loving my family gf etc.
It’s important for me to work on what I love because we all deserve to enjoy this life in some way or another and that’s what makes me most happy.
A cup of coffee and an early morning hike, walk, run etc. taking photos.

IS BEING ON THE ROAD WHERE YOU FEEL MOST AT HOME OR IS THE STUDIO WHERE YOU’RE MOST COMFORTABLE?

The studio is a blast because you get to play music and interact with new people, but I feel most comfortable on the road.
I get bored to quickly to see the same studio everyday and I need travel to break that up.

FAVOURITE PHRASE, LYRIC OR MOTTO?

“Hoggin’ up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower, Chug a lug a luggin’ 5 miles an hour” Craig Morgan International Harvester

YOU’RE QUITE YOUNG FOR SOMEONE IN YOUR CURRENT POSITION, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?

Hopefully in the next 5 years I will be shooting and traveling full time for my company Lemon Creek.  I am also working on a few other revenue streams that I hope can give back to hard working families in the near future. With that I hope I can afford a small home in Iceland and a small apartment in Ny with my girlfriend.

FROM YOUR HOME TOWN TO THE HOT SPRINGS OF ICELAND YOU’VE TRAVELLED QUITE A BIT,
WHERE IS SOMEWHERE THAT STAND OUT AND MEANS A LOT TO YOU?

I’m sure you’ll like this answer, but Australia.  I studied abroad for 6 months in Sydney and I miss it everyday along with the friends I made there.  To me Sydney feels like the perfect mix between New York and Los Angeles, and it is a much cleaner city.  Planning on making a trip back there this December for Christmas and New Years.

I CAN IMAGINE YOU’VE HIT A FEW FOOD PLACES ON YOUR TRAVELS,
IS THERE A SPOT THAT YOU ALWAYS GO BACK TO WHEN YOU’RE TRAVELLING?

OHHH YESSS Neptunes in Ventura, California.  It’s a fried/raw seafood joint across the street from the beach.  It’s usually packed with bikers. It’s a must every time I’m in La I make it a point to head there, grab whatever 24oz California based beer I can find and I grab some sea food.  It’s the perfect way to end a long day at the beach.

WHAT ARE YOU BINGE WATCHING AT THE MOMENT?

I don’t watch T.v. but on my last road trip I was binge listening Tim Ferris’s 4 hour work week.

LAST YEAR YOU STARTED A CREATIVE AGENCY CALLED LEMON CREEK,
TELL US ABOUT IT? WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO CREATE WITH LEMON CREEK AND THE TEAM YOU HAVE THERE?

Lemon Creek is really a branding agency.  We help our clients establish their brand.  We believe that a brand is really a shortcut to your customers trust, and how do you get them to trust you, well we do that with consistency.  Consistency of visuals, design, quality and customer service.  Over the next few years I am hoping to change 5 brands marketing efforts and make them household names.  I’d like to set up more team travel catalog shoots and I’d create a lot of collaboration products with brands we are shooting for, whether it be a shoe with Nike, or a tent with Poler, we want to be known by our clients customers as they fall into a similar demographic.  Plus it’d just be really cool to see someone wearing a creative agencies products because it’s so obscure, it’s like seeing a chick in NYC wearing your Dad’s plumbing company tshirt, it just doesn’t happen.

WHAT’S A MOMENT THAT’S TAKEN YOUR BREATH AWAY?

I was in Oregon about a year ago with a couple friends and it was sunny, a little chilly, and breezy.  We had just made it to these sand dunes to take some photos and after a little while of shooting we laid down on the sand which was super warm from the sun.  With the cool breeze running over us and the warm sand underneath us I had never felt such a pure bliss.  It was so simple compared to all the amazing shit I’ve seen but damn it felt so good, and in that moment I felt like I could die and it would be alright.  Shit like that takes my breath away because you can’t replicate a feeling like that.  It can really only happen once and that says a lot about life to me.
